Employee Engagement is a leading indicator of future business performance and success; how long employees stay, how they feel about their jobs, their boss and their organization's direction are all linked to their individual engagement and performance level. Successful business leaders understand the link between process and people and they work every day to boost the return on their most valuable asset ...their PEOPLE. This workshop will show how to Maximize Performance through Alignment, Leader Development, and Team Engagement, reduce overhead and improve employee performance. It will cover methodologies for analyzing return on investment for human capital management programs and assessing internal cost drivers associated with implementation. These methodologies will be shown through case studies and discussion on how to synchronize and integrate People Improvement Programs into and in direct support of every manufacturing initiative.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will:

Joe Barto, Training Modernization Group
Joe Barto is currently President & CEO of Training Modernization Group. Prior to joining TMG, he was the Senior Program Manager of the Training Modernization Program at Northrop Grumman Newport News and the Director of Government Programs for Global Learning Systems. Barto joined GlobalLearningSystems.com in July 2000, and as the Senior Program Manager, he led a Modernization Team, comprised of Solutions Architects, Program Managers and Business Development Executives to create and implement total learning solutions. In two years, he established Learning Solutions Groups for major accounts in the government and government-regulated industries valued at over three million dollars. At TMG, Inc. he is responsible for strategic planning, business development, sales, program management, and client implementation of human capital performance improvement solutions. Barto was an Operations Manager at Camber Corporation, where he spearheaded Camber's learning technologies team, growing the team from scratch to 50 people in just three years, and generating $2.6 million in annual revenue. While at Camber, he led major contact wins such as Distributed Learning XXI, Program Support to the Department of Defense Joint Staff DIrector for Operational Plans, Training, and Interoperability, and the Florida Seaport Security Study. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Barto served in peace and war both in the United States and abroad. During Operation Desert Shield, he was the Chief of Current Operations for the 25,000 soldier 24th Infantry Division and then was the Executive Officer of the second Squadron, fourth Calvary which led the division into the Euphrates River Valley during Operation Desert Storm. From July, 1992 - August 1994, he was assigned as a Special Assistant to the Commanding General of Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, VA. Prior to retiring, Barto served as original member of the Joint Warfighting Center and was one of the key developers of the Joint Training System and the primary author of the June 1996 Joint Training Manual. He earned a Bachelor of Science (Systems Engineering) degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY in 1978 where he as an Army Basketball Player. Barto also earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from James Madison University in 1988 concentrating in Organizational Theory and Leadership. Barto is widely published in professional journals and a frequent presenter at professional conferences.
Karl Buchanan, Training Modernization Group
Since joining Training Modernization Group in January 2006, Karl Buchanan has worked with the company's executive team in building a recognized company of performance experts and an organizational scheme to match the ever-growing and changing marketplace. At TMG, Inc. he is a responsible for strategic planning and business development to include revenue planning and management, customer solutions planning, marketing, sales performance, and risk mitigation. Prior to joining TMG, Buchanan was the Founder & CEO of Impact Athletics where he propelled the initial start-up company to $1.3 million in annual sales, became nationally recognized within the industry growing his customer base from zero to over 1500 in three short years. He then catapulted annual revenues from $1.3 - 3.3 million in just one year becoming the industry's largest, privately held, multi-sport training facility specializing in high-end training at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. During this time, Buchanan became a nationally recognized speaker within the industry and served as a consultant to numerous nationally known and accredited trade magazines and recognized publications. Prior to Impact Athletics, Buchanan was District Manager for Pfizer Pharmaceutical where he achieved sales quota in excess of $50 million annually for 11 straight years; several times exceeding 120% of quota. He spearheaded the introduction of some of Pfizer's most prestigious and world known products to include Viagra, Norvasc, Lipitor, Aricept and Zoloft and was selected to aid the marketing campaign for all federal sales to include the Department of Defense and Veteran Administration.
